Bhopal Birds -World Sparrow Day Celebration World sparrow day celebrated in Van Vihar National Park on 20th March 2012 .This programme is organized by Bhopal birds in collaboration with State Biodiversity Board and Van Vihar National Park Bhopal, at least 100 Students from school and different organizations take part in this event. In the morning students take part in the Bird watching ,A Badge of world sparrow day and Pamphlets title “Phir Aao Gorraya” Prepared by Bhopal birds distributed, after that talk is delivered by Dr.Surendra Tiwari (Renowned wildlifer) and Dr.Sangeeta Rajgir (President, Bhopal Birds) They give information about declining population of sparrow and threats on them and how to protect sparrows after that painting competition is organized for the participant ,The subject given to them is “Sparrow and our surrounding” . In the last session of the programme Prize distribution and Valedictory function is organized in which PCCF (Wild Life) Mr.T.R Sharma and CCF (Bhopal) Mr. S.S Rajput is invited as chief guest they give prizes to the winners of painting competition .Additional director of Van Vihar National Park Mr.AK Khare gave vote of thanks.
